ASA Applications have introduced NutriJet VR for growers wishing to optimise fertiliser application through the use of Variable Rate applications. For use in conjunction with a flow-based sprayer controller, NutriJet VR gives a huge application rate range on the go without having to change nozzles. One NutriJet VR has the same output range as 3 standard ISO fertiliser caps.

Currently, when applying liquid fertiliser, a farmer or contractor can only vary the application rate from the sprayer cab by a small amount by altering the vehicle speed and / or the liquid pressure. The alternative is to change nozzle size or move a dribble metering slider or disc.
Varying nutrient requirements across a crop, farm or even an individual field may require several sets of fixed orifice nozzles. Today's move towards tailored variable rate nutrient application across individual fields according to crop requirements also requires a variable nozzle in order to achieve the broad range of rates.
NutriJet VR solves this problem using a patented, innovative AutoValve system.

Designed to be used with flow-based sprayer controllers, NutriJet VR nozzles with their unique AutoValve eliminate frequent nozzle changes. Operators can fit just one set of nozzles, which will apply a wide variation of fertiliser volume rates, even at low pressure.
NutriJet VR produces 5 precise streams of fertiliser and are fitted with a unique StreamGuard baffle system. This innovative baffle is designed to ensure there is no break up of the application pattern, which helps to reduce the risk of crop scorch.

NutriJet VR consists of a five-hole, fertiliser nozzle housing with a EF3 bayonet fitting. The nozzle incorporates an internal AutoValve that comprises a chamber and metering orifice surrounded by a resilient but flexible sheath.
The sheath is manufactured using a specially developed material, which is expandable and reacts consistently and proportionately to increases and decreases in pressure.

When there is no flow/pressure, the flexible sheath closes the exit aperture in the support plug. As pressure is increased, the sheath expands in response, and liquid flows out of the aperture and into a chamber at a rate directly proportional to the increase in pressure and then exits as five consistent streams through the five orifices. Precise streams of liquid are achieved using the ASA's StreamGuard baffle system.

NutriJet is convenient and easy to fit to most popular brands of sprayer and is connected via an EF3 bayonet system (commonly referred to as a Euro Fit or EF3 bayonet).
NutriJet are designed to operate at a boom height of between 50 and 70 cm above the target.
